Flickor alla - all the girls…heißt das erste Lied des dritten Huldrelokkk-Albums. Und tatsächlich - auf dieser CD spielen fünf skandinavische Frauen! Kerstin, Mia und Liv hatten zehn Jahre lang ausgiebig gespielt und getourt, als sie beschlossen, 2019 eine Jubiläums-CD herauszubringen. Die Hälfte des neuen Albums war bereits aufgenommen, als Corona kam. Aus verschiedenen persönlichen Gründen standen sowohl Mia als auch Liv nach der Corona-Pause nicht mehr zur Verfügung. Aber glücklicherweise fand Kerstin zwei weitere wunderbare Musikerinnen, Ditte und Elin, beide aus Schweden, die spannende neue Elemente in die Band brachten. Im Teldex-Studio in Berlin nahmen sie die andere Hälfte des Albums in der neuen Besetzung auf. Auf einigen der früheren Aufnahmen wurden sogar noch Overdubs aufgenommen. Oh, was für ein Spaß!
Das Ergebnis ist eine aufregende Mischung aus fünf sehr individuellen, schönen Stimmen, einer groovigen Gitarre, zwei virtuosen Fiddles und zwei Nyckelharpas, aufgenommen in exzellenter audiophiler Klangqualität und produziert von Kerstin Blodig.
Die fünf skandinavischen Frauen verschmelzen perfekt zu einem pulsierenden, lebendigen Fest der skandinavischen Folkmusik.

Flickor alla – all the girls…

is the name of the opening number and our third Huldrelokkk album. And indeed – there are five Scandinavian women playing on this album! My wonderful colleagues and friends Mia and Liv had been extensively playing and touring with me for ten years, when we decided, we would like to bring out an anniversary CD in 2019. We had already recorded half of the new album, which itself was not so easy, due to the fact that we live in three different countries. Due to various personal reasons, both Mia and Liv were not available after the Corona break. But fortunately, I found two other wonderful musicians, Ditte and Elin, both from Sweden, which brought exciting new elements into the band. So we were at the studio in Berlin and recorded the other half of the album with the new line-up. We even overdubbed some of the recordings done with Mia and Liv. Oh, what fun!

I hope you enjoy listening to this album as much as we enjoyed making it!
